Tips for making a great chocolate cake:
- Use high-quality ingredients, including good-quality cocoa powder and chocolate.
- Don't overmix the batter, as this can lead to a tough cake.
- Make sure to properly measure your ingredients, especially the flour.
- Use room temperature ingredients, as this will help the batter come together smoothly.
- Don't overbake the cake, as this can lead to a dry cake. Check the cake for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center - it should come out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting or adding toppings.
